TALK TITLE:
Diabetes Therapies, Cardiovascular Outcomes, and Weight Loss – A Meta-Analysis of Large Cardiovascular Outcome Trials

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Review the rationale and landscape of CV outcome trials for diabetes therapies in 2019
2. Evaluate the comparative class-wide cardiovascular effects of diabetes drugs and strategies derived from meta-analysis
3. Explore outcomes by key subgroups among drugs/strategies that lower weight

Note: We will also feature two 5-minute presentations from the finalists of the HSRLCE/CHFS/BI/Lilly Cardiometabolic Young Investigator Award. Audience members will then vote to award first and second place prizes.
